Description:

The amazing flora of Colorado stretches from prairies to high alpine peaks.  Each plant we encounter often has interesting characteristics.

However, these 3,000 plant species are also related to each other in interesting ways.

In this presentation we will first develop an evolutionary perspective by discussing important concepts and then second apply this understanding to the plant biodiversity that surrounds us.

Activities will be included between the two-part presentation to pique your curiosity.
