A sprout from the Arvada Community Garden

Mission Statement: The Delva Community Garden will strive to offer Arvada residents a place to not only grow food but promote healthy living, volunteerism and community outreach. It is a place that welcomes everyone, regardless of age, income, education or background. Background: The Arvada Gardeners club was started in the spring of 1968 and with cooperation of the City of Arvada, has sponsored a community garden ever since. The Delva Community Garden was made available in 2010 with the cooperation of the Delva Family and the Arvada Gardeners Club. The garden is managed entirely by garden members who volunteer their time throughout the year. The garden will operate on a year by year basis. Most garden plots are 10 by 20. The garden plot rental rate for the entire season is $30.00. Included in this price is a garden plot, some tools and hoses, access to ditch water and of course a lot of story telling! There will be times when the ditch will be dry and we will not have water. This is beyond our control. More information on the Delva Garden may be had by contacting Bob Gaunt.
